The Problem:

  • Currently, Jellyfin recognition only seems to be implemented for its web player, while many other Jellyfin clients exist
  • Many people use Jellyfin so they can access their media from other devices than their PC, and web player recognition is ineffective in these cases

The Solution(?):

Taiga's media detection capabilities are defined by what Anisthesia offers. erengy/anisthesia#7 provides some information on current limitations, and I'm afraid there's currently no short-term plans to work on this.

@juplayLP recently suggested that one might use jellyfin-ani-sync as an alternative solution. Perhaps they have more to say, as I don't know much about Jellyfin myself.
