Very interesting, though with the planned sunsetting of LCS there is a time limit.
Maybe take a look at https://github.com/microsoft/2LCS/blob/d7052a61c85161281d61a140b3a8623381695977/2LCS/Forms/MainForm.cs#L172-L200, it also uses cookies for authentication (though I yet have to figure out how it works in detail). Maybe @TomekMelissa can help?
