Dependency Dashboard #13630
Comments
can we just close this issue or does it serve any purpose? |
It's a dashboard mechanism - it gets auto-updated so you can see all the PRs that are currently open and more importantly, the detected dependencies that Renovate can see. You can also force Renovate to rescan without having to go to the Mend website to do that. |
Is the idea that this issue stays open permanently so you can always go to it
and see the current status? Or does it get closed once all current PRs are
closed and a new dashboard issue gets created once another set of updates needs
to happen? Either way, it's an odd mechanism for a dashboard.
|
I'm pretty sure it's the first of those - staying open so you can go to it or bookmark it and see the current status at a single glance of the dependency PRs in flight. I can't comment on the oddness aspect 😅. If you close it I think renovate will reopen it next time it scans - you can disable the dashboard entirely in the config if it's causing friction. |
We can't have an issue that stays open permanently as a poor-man's UI for renovate. Having it file PRs suffices. |
Let's do that, this is silly. You know where that config knob is? |
The Renovate dashboard insists on an open issue, which is a problem. Disable the dashboard. Status can still be seen at https://developer.mend.io/github/curl/curl. Fixes #13630
