Describe the bug (required)
The background color of the grid on the homepage and the elements in listing seem out of place in dark mode.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Enable dark mode.
  2. Go to the homepage and notice the grid.
  3. Open any anime listing and notice the list elements.

Expected behavior
Background should be darker and in line with Material You.

Screenshots
Here, I think we can use the same color as the search bar in the 4 grid elements as well. Light grey seems a bit off as compared to the rest of the page.

Similarly here, the background of each element is too light.

Not the same, but as an example, the Google Clock app has a similar element for listing. Notice how dark the background color is:

Enviroment (required)

  • Device model: Nothing Phone (2)
  • Android version: 14
  • App version: 3.6.1

Additional context
The background color of these elements in the new Black variant seem to be correct, can we use them in the dark mode as well?

Actually this is a bug with the material3 library and latest alpha version seems to fix this. Update to 3.6.2 (beta).
