I can't get the same (zip,png file) with the 'path:.zip' command as the old version 'filename:.zip'/'extension:.zip'command

Pls, when I search in the old version, I can get the zip/png file by searching "filename:zip"/"extension:.png". Now using the new version to search for 'path:.zip' cannot return files (zip/png and other types of files), what should I do to correctly search for the results I want.

Github's new search functionality may have changed the syntax for searching for specific file types or extensions. Instead of using "filename:zip" or "extension:.png", you can try using the following search syntax:

extension:zip

This should return all files with a .zip extension. You can replace "zip" with other file extensions to search for files of different types.

Alternatively, you can also use the "path:" operator to search for files by their file path. For example, if you want to search for all .zip files in a specific folder, you can use the following search syntax:

It makes me happy to see someone answer my question, and I really appreciate your answer. But what you said didn't work. The latest search syntax abandons 'extension' and 'filename' and replaces it with 'path', but the 'path' syntax cannot search for files that do not directly display the content, such as '.zip' or '.png', and 'path' You can only search for files with content displayed, such as ".txt" or ".md"
