is there any guidance to writing extensions for protoc-gen-doc?

Hi,

We use protobufs with nats and have an extension to the methods (RPC statements) to encode the nats subject for the message exchange. I would like these to be auto-documented but I cannot find any description of the extension interface to protoc-gen-doc. is there such a thing?
