Bug or data error in NY deaths #177

The Weekly Reported Death rate for NY jumped from 2007 on 5/5 to 7941 on 5/6.

NY reclassified ~1700 nursing home deaths a few days ago but that wouldn't explain such a large jump in weekly rates.

Thanks for pointing this out. Looks like the folks at NYTimes are aware of this and have commented on this here: nytimes/covid-19-data#261
