User profiles as "author" profiles on front end

A discussion ticket on how and if this could maybe be done

The user profiles could be extended to be supported and displayed on the theme side.

1. Author photos/avatars: Question would be where to upload these images to keep them out of the gallery/albums while having image processor capabilities for theming (Maybe we could have image processor functions for "off images" anyway - no albums but caching within cache/uploaded. Does that make sense?).
2. Support of theme side "author profiles" ("author" because it sounds nicer than "user" or "owner" on gallery items for visitors!). I propose a new standard theme page author.php for this (domain.com/author/<authorname>). Would be useful for multi author sites. Basically what we ourselves "workaround" on our site via using Zenpage pages and special "author" tags.
3. Mutliple authors for (at least) Zenpage items (we also "mimic" that on our site using specific tags).
4. More default fields like author description and social network linke etc. could be done via the authorFields plugin.
