Installation Fails

Installation fails with the following error message:

Expected behavior:
The WSL Distro installs without error.

Enviroment:

• Windows build number: 10.0.22635.2483
• Security Software: Windows Defender
• WSL version: WSL 2
• ArchWSL version: 22.10.16.0
• ArchWSL Installer type: appx
• Launcher version: 22020900

For me, the issue appears to have been related to the fact that I installed WSL with --no-distribution. I don't see why this should cause any issues, but I solved it by just installing it with the default Ubuntu distribution, and then uninstalling Ubuntu after I'd installed Arch.

That's a hack though, not a solution - this issue should still be fixed within the ArchWSL software.

EDIT - Restarting the computer fixed it. I suspect you need to reboot after installing wsl, and before installing Arch.

I installed wsl with wsl --install, which included Ubuntu. I receive this error anyway.

Windows 11 Pro 22H2 build 22621.3155 under Parallels on a M1 Pro Macbook, both .zip and .appx install methods.
