Hi,

I see you're new here but Github isn't generally a place for asking for troubleshooting help, this area is meant for reporting issues or unexpected problems with content shared here.

Please follow the instructions carefully here.

You seem to be running Windows. So download the latest Python for Windows and install it and make sure to add Python to PATH during the installation.

The instructions are very clear and even someone with no programming knowledge can easily set this up in just a few minutes.

In short, you install Python, clone the repo, use pip to install the requirements, set up an app link on Reddit, input the secret and app ID to the shreddit program, including your reddit username and password into the .ini, set what content you want mass deleted and what you want kept. Then run the program. You literally only need to run one command:

shreddit

That's it. I cannot make it more simple than this due to how Reddit works. The script itself (my fork at least) works 100%.

I just ran it right now:

INFO:shreddit:Deleting ALL items before 2021-01-08T23:33:08.811875+02:00
INFO:shreddit:Deleting items not whitelisted until 2021-01-09T00:33:08.811875+02:00
INFO:shreddit:Ignoring ALL items after 2021-01-09T00:33:08.811875+02:00
INFO:shreddit:Targeting overview sorted by new
INFO:shreddit:Loading items to delete...
INFO:shreddit:Done. Starting on batch of 34 items...
...
INFO:shreddit:Finished deleting 34 items.

Other alternatives would be to stop using Reddit altogether (because its a dumpster fire) or delete your entire account.

No one is being condescending (and accusing someone of being so is a great way to get them to stop helping on Github) but you need to be able to walk before you can run. If the instructions plus extra information above isn't enough to get it working, then those 5 videos should do it.

Hi,

At this stage I have no idea what you are having problems with. I really recommend you just clone my fork and follow the instructions in the readme on the repo page. I cannot make it any clearer than that.
