Version Information

  • WordPress: 4.6.1
  • Multisite: false
  • Adminimize: 1.11.4

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Cannot open Adminimize at all. Get 500 internal server error
  2. Tried to access via URL: http://www.aoczrh.ch/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=Adminimize%2Fadminimize.php as per a previous post of Nov 2016.
Received error : Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page. I am logged in as administrator, Super User

I have tried ...

  • Deleting Adminimize via the WP control panel
  • Renaming the folder via FTP client and then re-installing
  • Clearing WP cache
  • Deactivating all other similar plugins

Nothing seems to work. I would need to completely uninstall Adminimize and then fresh install. Could you perhaps tell me how to do this? Where can I delete the database left overs from a WP uninstall of the plug-in? I cannot access the plug-in "Settings".

Appreciate any help you can provide.

On default, remove the plugin via back end will also remove the options. So you should remove the adminimize directory in wp-content/plugins completely. After this install new via back end, default.

However please check before, like via plugin Members, that you have the right capabilities. Your user role in this site of the Multisite must have the capability manage_options. This is the only check to the access.
