Problem

wpcom/v2/text-completion endpoint will no longer be maintained. We (mobile apps) use this ai-text-completion endpoint for AI generation-related features. Product Creation using AI, for example.

Solution

  • Replace wpcom/v2/ai-text-completion endpoint usage with wpcom/v2/jetpack-ai-query endpoint.
  • Stop checking for ai-assistant feature as eligibility check. Instead, enable the AI features for all Jetpack sites. The wpcom/v2/jetpack-ai-query endpoint will take care of limiting usage.
