Describe the solution you'd like
Sparkfun sells a 7 segment display (COM-09483 is red) that includes all the features that are supported in the current version of the 7segment part, but has two more pins that are used for activating an additional LED. Placement that led is half way between digit three and digit four approximately in line with segment A of the four digits. The datasheet available from Sparkfun is from China Young Sun LED Technology Co. Both Vishay (TDCG1050M, TDCG1060M, TDCR1050M, and TDCR1060M) and Everlight (F415SURWA/S530-A3, F415SURWB/S530-A3, F416SYGWA/S530-E3, F416SURWA/S530-A3, F416USRWA/S530-A3, and F416SURWB/S530-A3) produce similar devices with the same pinout.

It would be nice to be able simulate these on wokwi using the already excellent 7segment part. Various colors, and both common anode and common cathode are available. The parts listed here are all 12.8 mm wide by 40.2 mm long with sixteen pins on 2.54 mm centers with 10.16mm between the two rows. Bonus points for including the 1.2" digit displays from Luckylight that are sold by Adafruit.
