This format was discussed a couple times, and from what I understand it's a standard NMR data format.

For example, in 2010 Jose N. asked about it:

right now I am loading NMR data into Fityk using the ASCII text file format. I was
wondering if it is possible to make the program support some NMR data file
formats, like JCAMP-DX (see attached document, dxnmr01.pdf). This can be
extremely useful since all NMR acquisition and processing software packages
can export data using this generic format.
