Extreme Latency & High Profile Usage

The extension is causing my VSCode to go absolutely unresponsive and preventing me even from typing or interacting with the editor (I'm using the VIM extension, but still happens with it disabled). This is a message from the VSCode DevTools:

Same here. While it was working fine in one project, when I recently opened an older big project, everything got totally unresponsive: File search, typescript, etc.
Took me quite a while to figure out it was this extension which caused the issues.

Just experienced the same issue after installing this extension.
Everything was starting to hang. Source control section spinning endlessly, Jest test runner spinning, Prettier spinning (and blocking saving of files).

Used this extension forever, but started experiencing this recently and only with large files (2k lines or more).
