Regarding to issue #54, as sondreb already remarked, the selected-index property isn't still working.
The issue has been closed without any comment or working example. His comment doesn't work for me so please fix this issue or post an code snippet.

Can I expect any updates soon or is the angular wrapper deprecated and no longer in development?

@P4trik I have the same question. This seems to be a major issue affecting more than just the selected-index property. Is there any plan for this to be addressed?
