If each Streamfield's block will be saved in database as own record, it will be easy to make translations of each block, or we could enable users to comment on paragraph level. |

I have been wondering this question recently too. I was not drawing the similarity to only Djangos
Model
but even to WagtailPage
model. Pages and blocks hold data and know how to render themselves (or at least which template should be used to render them).I was wondering why are defining blocks in the less structures JSON way instead of the Django'ish way of storing all data in models. Would the table joins be too big of a slow down or what other considerations are there that I am probably missing?
