It's just vscode being slow. It enables neovim once all your vscode extensions are done loading. |

Env
os: MacOS 13.4 & Ubuntu 22.04 (both very slow)
In this video, I kept pressing
jk
from the reloading, but the cursor didn't start moving until after 8~9s.2024-04-26.13.47.11.mp4
Problem
Every time I start vscode or reload vscode window, it takes about 10s for neovim to start working. I can't edit any opened file at all during the loading time.
init.vim
as the loading is both slow on Ubuntu and MacOS, and I found no related issue or discussion. But I've tried renaminginit.vim
so that the extension won't load that file, but it still takes 8~9s. 😱Additional tests
Vim
take about 2s to start working.init.vim
