The LICENSE says " All Rights Reserved." and "Voat will soon update it's license agreement in full"

But CONTRIBUTING.md tend to says that the software is under the GNU GPLv3

I love the initiative of putting the source on GitHub but without license clarification I don't know what anyone outside of Voat can do with it.

Includes additional files for switching between db backends. A bit manual right now but getting better.

I highly recommend using a COPYFREE license like MIT, BSD, ISC, or the Unlicense.

There's a growing political divide in free software ecosystems, and the choice of license (far more than a legal practicality) is becoming a dog-whistle signal of what cultural camp you are in.

Copyleft licenses like GPL are a product of left-wing statist ideas, signaling misunderstanding and hatred of the free market, and are often correlated with advocacy of other restrictions (ex. SJW CoCs) .

Copyfree licenses signal Freedom of Speech and laissez-faire rejection of government force.
