How to bundle React component library with preserving "use client" directives

Hi,
I am struggling to make Vite preserve "use client" directives in individual modules in bundle.
I use rollup-plugin-preserve-directives and preserveModules: true, + minify: false, (as suggested here rollup/rollup#4699) in vite.config.ts but the directives are still missing in the final dist files. The rollup-plugin-preserve-directives is working fine, when used in pure Rollup, so I expect the problem to be with some other Vite code.
Could you suggest some solution, please ?
I have the following configuration, which I believe is pretty standard one:

I use Vite 4.3.5. The source files are written in Typescript.

@Glinduff No. I think Vite is not a good tool for the job. In the end, I am using just TSC or SWC for building my RSC library.
