Microsecond support OR support for plane number timeline with custom formatter?

Hi All,

has anyone needed sub-millisecond support? I understand the limiting factor here is Moment.js and it has no plans to enhance time resolution to micro- or nanoseconds.
Has anyone come up with a workaround without having to substantially change the code? E.g. representing time with a custom formatter function? I am new to visjs so apologies if the question is silly.
