Bonjourr currently forces all quicklinks in to one block at top of page. Would it be possible to add a feature that allows quicklinks to be positioned manually on the page via drag and drop?

Current behaviour:

aaaaaaaaabbbbbbbbbbccccccccddddddddd

Requested behaviour:

aaaaaaaaa

bbbbbbbbbb

ccccccccccc

ddddddddd

Merci beaucoup!

Hello @dcog989 !

If you are referring to a grid system, this is technically already possible by changing the amount of links per row.

Being able to place the links anywhere on the page like a post-it would be an interesting idea. It can become tricky because the browser can be resized a lot. Overflowing or moving links might be annoying 🤔

I might consider it if more people are interested in the idea. For now, I'll leave this suggestion open !

Hey! Changing links per row doesn't offer the function I am looking for. I really want to group links so I have e.g. groups for News, Shopping, Work, Entertainment. There might be 5 links for news, 10 links for shopping, 20 links for work, etc.

I don't see the need to have links anywhere on the page - they can all still be contained in the 'Quick Links' block - just with the ability split them up (separate paragraphs), rather than having them all as one long contiguous line.

Thanks for considering it! And thanks for a great addon. :)

I see, you meant quick link folders ! You are in luck, because the next update is dedicated to folders and should come out this week. ( hopefully? )

I'll close this issue since it is a duplicate of #130 though.

Hi,

Just installed V19 - wow! Fantastic work.

However, it still leaves me unable to arrange Quick Links as needed - i.e. I choose which paragraph (or block / div) they go in. Is that planned?

Thank you!

EDIT

I see now that the 'inline' option for this - but changes the icons to small with text and centre aligns. Would be nice to keep the large icons and left align as with 'Large icons'. I also had difficulty arranging icons where I wanted - the one I tried insisted on positioning to right of page when I wanted it on the left.

Sorry @dcog989, I only now understand what you were asking...

What you are requesting would be grouping links, like the current link pages, but all visible at the same time ! Unfortunately this is not in this update by design, because I thought you were only asking for folders.

I'll reopen this issue since this is not a duplicate, and I'll think more about it when we get more feedback !

Sorry again 😅

The drag and drop is a bit wonky for now because there was a lot of change, and some features are still missing. It will be improved in the following updates !

As for the icon style, having a large icon with inline text can be done with some CSS !

Hey!

Yes, I simply want to group e.g.:

[A group for news and weather links]

[A group for shopping links]

[A group for work links]

That's all! :) The Link Pages are a cool idea and I'm sure useful for many people but I don't think I will use it - I prefer to see all links one home page (as above).

Thank you very much for your time.
