I'm guessing the only solution is to use PPA's for newer Python for this, such as https://launchpad.net/~fkrull/+archive/ubuntu/deadsnakes-python2.7

Thanks, been trying to figure out what the error was caused from. Now if I could just get rid of the huge delays in the web interface I can actually starting using it.
