The Scheduled jobs are not being transferred to the Operations tab, and so are not starting.
Rvapi log is printing "Scheduled job teste3 is in the processof running on the following agents [u'2d2d7d65-b708-468d-9396-e2280e72ae8e', u'690fde5a-f652-4aee-b0a1-5ec66897342a', u'7d3eaaa6-ebc0-475e-b8dd-544365585d04', u'90339264-0611-4222-9657-935f7d140beb'], but the job never starts.

No other exceptions in the log right after that one?

I can confirm this is an issue. I recently setup vFense, great product! I can manually tell agents to install successfully from the agent page, but the updates do not install from schedules. The schedules page lists the schedule as run once.

My settings for the schedule were as follows:

  • Schedule Name: Updates - vfense
  • Operation Type: Install
  • Package Type: OS
  • Severity: Any
  • Repeat: Every Week
  • Schedule On: Tags
  • Tags: Other - vfense
  • Day: 10/09
  • Hour: 21
  • Minute: 40

Other schedules exist in the system similar to this one, none of them are running successfully.

When viewing the Operation tab, you can see the schedule was listed, but with no agents. When viewing the agent page, it does not list the schedule in the operations section.

I went ahead and create a one-time run schedule during the day on a single agent (apt-cache) with similar settings to grab logs:
2014-10-10 13:33:00 - rvapi - INFO - admin - Scheduled job Test is in the processof running on the following agents [u'10347095-95e7-4821-9a39-01ffa73e65b8']

No Exceptions in the server or client logs. Same result as the repeat schedules, does not run.

My apologies @scottcupit , as I just saw this reply. Have you tried restarting vFense, as there is a current bug for creating a schedule on a newly created customer. I have fixed this in my pre-0.8.1-dev branch, but this branch is not ready to be used yet as it is in active development.

Restarting the server resolved this issue, my test schedule kicked off correctly. Thanks.

After further testing I have noticed my schedules are not installing updates. I have noticed the schedules only work when assigning agents to the schedule. My schedules that use tags do not get run.

Any update on this issue? I got the same issue where the patches are not installed when scheduling with tags.
