Hi,
this is an enhancement request about the "UI setup" documentation and guidelines, derived from another enhancement request about the "DC ontology" (see more details there).

First of all, on the "Sample UI" example:

  • it should have a readme.md on how to use it (see this comment). Another issue had been opened already for this.
  • the exception thrown by "features:install uAAL-SingleNode.Development" should be checked (see this comment). Shall I open a separate issue for this, or is it something trivial/unrelated?

Then, on the "Web UI":

cheers
.k.

Off Topic

what are those critical parts?

some bugs in the middleware, tools, other components, and taking full potential of Github; unfortunately UI has been falling behind for some time now. But I do intend to go into it and add some features and revamp the whole thing, after of course creating a proper tutorial (we are discussing internally how to best do this)

is a new release (3.5.0) to be expected soon?

we had it planned for 2017Q1 but as you see we are late, we still have to discuss by surely within this year we must finish all the critical parts for this release.
