Verilator failed on bareMetalC/template.c test with any none zero In matrix

I tested bareMetalC/template.c on Verilator from Docker image of Gemmini @ MLSys 2022. Verilator failed on any none zero In matrix by runing the command "./scripts/run-verilator.sh" and got the following error messages:
*** FAILED *** (tohost = 1)
*** FAILED *** (code = 1, seed 1704159862) after 214479 cycles

But the same In matrix passed tests on Spike and Midas by running the following commands: ./scripts/run-spike.sh template and ./scripts/run-midas.sh DDR3FCFS template. Verilator passed the test only on the In matrix with all zero elements.
Does any one know the reason?
