Viewnavigator error on IE8

The viewnavigator sample at http://triceam.github.com/app-UI/examples/samples/01%20-%20viewnavigator/01%20-%20basic/index.html

returns the following error on IE8:

Error: Object doesn't support this property or method

I'm also getting this - any planned fix or did the author abandon this repo right before it got posted to HN?

It has not been abandoned. I'm at a conference and have not had a chance to respond to your previous comment. I currently don't support ie8. Not to say it won't work... Most likely it's a pretty simple error. Do you have a file/line # that I can reference to look into this? I'm on a mac, and don't have ie8 on my virtual machine.
