About shouldn't show in catalogue

Currently the page about shows as a page in the catalogue

need to modify list.html so only shows certain pages

I tried using something like

    {{ range sort (where .Pages "Type" "species") "Title" }}

based on advice here https://gohugo.io/functions/where/

but couldn't get it to work properly. It works own the front page, but all the other pages break :(
