Simple soil moisture and ambient temperature monitoring system.

This project consists of two parts, one part is the endpoint/node which measures and processes sensor data and sends it to the cordinator node which sends data to LCD indicating the stataus of available moisture in the soil.

This is a Python3, Maker and DIY project where I am building a self watering system for a plant using a Raspberry Pi, sensors, diods and other nifty little things.

It is about sensing the soil moisture of the soil using a sensor, and if the soil is dry, start the water pump to pump the water to the plant, and wait for the moisture level to go High, as soon as it goes beyond a specified limit, the motor is turned off. The microcontroller behaves like a data acquisition system that takes readings from temperature & humidity sensor (DHT11), carbon monoxide sensor (MQ-7) and soil moisture sensor and immediately uploads it to a thingspeak server. From there, twilio api is used to send alerts via SMS based on condition of air and soil.
