Please close this issue, as I was not following directions correctly, particularly step 10 on the directions.
I copied files to the wrong location.

Thank you so much, It works for Windows 10 live 9.7.1 push2 !
I use it with maxForLive, so I only focus on Bank naming that works great !

I made the same mistake as genmce.

I suggest the following comments on the procedure that could help other users.

Automatic install with install.command file :

  • needs to overwrite LIVE_MIDI_REMOTE_PATH to Ableton target path
  • rename install.command to install.command.bat and run it using cmd
  • does not work on windows (syntax errors)

Manual install :

  • a focus to the user directory could be made on the procedure on step 10 (cf previous message).
  • the file browser.cfg is not useful and not referenced by the script

For the first use, do not forget to add at the end of the global.cfg file :
[Config]
Ignore = False

Then open ableton and make something to be displayed by push => a file is added to de "Devices" directory

  • open this generated file, read and edit
    - at the end of the file set to Ignore = False to make it reload by Ableton
    - switch to another device and move back : it is reloaded ! No need to restart
