As a bot as a service plateform manager
I want to be able to share intents and stories across multiple namespaces
So that I can build and share business oriented intent and stories libraries

Context of the issue :
As of now it is only possible to share intents between bots belonging to the same namespace.
Moreover, the sharing is based on a perfect match of the name of the intent which doesn't give users easy way to share them.

With this issue we would like to :

  • Extend intent sharing across multiple namespaces
  • Extend the sharing to stories
  • Give more flexibility in the sharing by providing users a way to explicitely decide to share or not an intent or story

The purpose being in the end to be able to provide new UI listing business oriented intents and stories users could use in their bots.

A first technical meeting happened on Oct. 26th which led to the following possible solutions :

  • Use some dedicated namespaces for shared intents and stories
  • Allow users to view intents/stories in other namespaces
  • Add new UI to manage namespaces, intents and stories sharing

There are still some open questions to discuss around this topic.
A dedicated Gitter room has been created for all people who want to participate in the development of this new feature here
