Add google (or otherwise) analytics for the following as a priority (1 day effort)

  • visits
  • user sessions

Funnels for

  • sign in
  • sign up?
  • signed in visit
  • wizard steps

Analytics tracking tag for Google Analytics has been added to Octopub and it's been verified as working.

All that is left to do is to set it up as outlined above.

I can confirm that the tag ID in Phil's commit is still the same.

Furthermore, 'Google Tag Manager' can generate the code for you to copy and paste into the relevant pages. And to my eyes it looks the same as Phil's change.

I can confirm that analytics for page views is now working.

Why phil's original commit didnt make it to master is lost to the mists of time.
