Support for sox during recording

Hi,
Wanted to know if we can support sox with this module as well.
Looking for some support around silence detection and some general transcoding options which can be used with google speech api or any other third party speech recognition systems.

PS: I tried following the install script to get sox locally but I never receive install completed message printed out, not sure if i am doing it correctly.

A sample usage looks like for sox with google speech api -

Yes I think so, i will try it out from chrome today.
Also have been looking into this for a while to get some sort of silence detection and stuff for recording and sox seems to give this out of the box, otherwise might have to resort it Python modules and all to do such kind of things.
Please do let me know how can I be useful on this ...
