[Sortable] Rapid position shifting when dragging narrower item over wider item

Describe the bug

When dragging a narrower item over a wider one, the wider item rapidly changes position until the drag is completed.

To Reproduce
Create items with different widths and drag the narrower item over the wider one. The following example can be used for this testing with and without styles:
