Feature request: Middle mouse button click for "Link" funtion #3297
Comments
I want to work on this feature! @yoSachinkr |
Hi @kannishk ! @rodolforg @ice0 @mohamedAdhamc @morevnaproject may help you in getting assigned for this feature request. You may wanna contact them. 😃 |
@rodolforg @ice0 @mohamedAdhamc @morevnaproject Can i work on this? |
@yoSachinkr what about a tool for linking? |
There are 3 situations when linking is used:
@rodolforg If a tool can do all of these in Synfig, then only it'd be worthy of considering a tool. |
Linking is one of the function that is used extensively in Synfig. So it's only fair to make linking faster. By assigning middle mouse button
to "Link", when multiple layers are selected, just middle clicking on any of the common parameters in the parameters panel should link the parameters automatically, instead of right clicking to open the context menu and then selecting link.
In a similar way, we also use linking in canvas operations as well, like linking vertices together or linking a vertex/origin to spline. If middle mouse button is assigned for "link" here as well, then selecting a vertex and middle clicking on the vertex we want the former vertex to link would link them together as well, similarly if we select a vertex/origin and middle click on another spline would link them together.
This feature request would only speed up and ease the process of linking in Synfig.
