SVG Import (Fatal) Error , Debug Console:

File->Import>Choose SVG

  Version 21H2
  Installed on ‎9/‎11/‎2020

  Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.4190.0

• Synfig version: 1.4.4

I confirm that the SVG import is functioning - thx! (but unfortunately, the import of SVG sequences is not working, though this was not included in the bug report I submitted initially).
