As a product owner I want to .Support ASP.NET Core So that I can high performance and mor advantages

Hello,

Good suggestion. Unfortunately based on some previous research it would mean a complete rebuild of the current SP software.

Core does not support the current architecture:

  • Web application project (WAP) needs a rebuild to MVC (which has other disadvantages)
  • Core does not support the use of webforms (used on every webpage of SP)

If Microsoft ever decides otherwise its a viable (and preferred) option. Feel free to comment if you have other options/ information.
