James: Another hugely beneficial thing would be a better UI for selecting your squares, then downloading an automatically generated PNG template of your squares to edit. Then one could just upload that image and run the batch transaction.

Will: Thank you for sharing this idea. Right now the latest "UI" for batch personalizing is: "Select top-left Square" and then "Upload picture". And it cuts the Squares for you.

Maybe another option is you can download the full 1000x1000px image. Everything that is not your Square is grayed out/X-ed out. Then you upload a new 1000x1000 px image. It detects all changes. Now the form continues just like the current personalize page from the "Preflight section" so you can manually edit in Excel if needed.

I am all about doing hugely beneficial things! Is this a path for success?

James: That does seem like an easier way to get a similar result. One further step on the backend would be to ensure the modified squares are owned by the updater before including then in preflight.

Will: Yes. When uploading, it will compare the uploaded image versus the "template". If the template was grayed out/X-ed out and then the upload has any change to those pixels, it's an error.

James: I think downloading the whole image with your squares identified, modifying and then uploading is a great solution.
