As the JSON format grow, we should have an external method to validate it to avoid mistake and provide mandatory vs optional properties.

JSON-Schema seems made for this but I never used it.

I think it's a very good idea @dehy.

Some validators are available here for many languages: https://json-schema.org/implementations.html#validators

And we can also use a linter: https://www.json-schema-linter.com/
