possibly interesting topic with large number of citations (topic I have not seen before)
(I did not look at any details, Econometrica article does not look like an easy read)

ATE looks at population mean of treatment effect.
Here instead it looks at quantiles of the distribution (AFAIU)

I found the topic because of Merlo et al 2023 (includes M-quantiles and Expectiles for multivariate case)

The approach is based on influence function, so this might be interesting also more generally. Do we have applications for empirical influence functions?
