Requires StuffIt Expander and then only works on PowerPC, so modern macs can't run it.

I know. :(

Sadly, it is the fate of many other educational games. (I guess most of them due to Flash not working.)

I was even considering recreating an open-source version of Chromatron with HTML5, using tiles from https://github.com/stared/quantum-game. It just requires creating a new tiles, and connecting a new engine (well, way simpler than the quantum one ;)).

If you are interested in participating, let me know!

I never played the original but it looks fun! Currently super busy starting a company, so can't help out but I did have fun last year learning some Lua and coded a basic roguelike using Love2D. I can recommend that environment as a great way to produce cross-platform games!
