Last suggestion for today 馃槈 There is now a template repository mechanics on GitHub. Wouldn't it make sense to turn this repository into a template repository as well?

Template repositories are better for GitHub users: the repositories created from them keep the original commits, but GitHub counts them as standalone repos rather than forks.
