Ynput helps VFX and animation studios that lack the resources to design and maintain a major software project in-house.
A team of developers and VFX professionals with a belief that the animation pipeline needs to be built around real production issues and in direct collaboration with studios using it. At the same time, it can be made flexible enough to be usable by 2d and 3d animation, small and large studios, without trying to re-invent the wheel every time.
We've set up Ynput with the intention to write a robust solution but also to provide studios with the day to day support they need when deploying it into production.
Since the start of 2019, we've dedicated all our efforts on a full-time basis to AYON (formerly known as OpenPype) with all of the development sponsored directly by the studios using it in production.
