Who are you, and where are you from?

Hello dear readers! My name is Jochen and I live in Germany near Frankfurt am Main. I was born and live there for about 26 years.

What are you working on?

In my main job I work as system administrator for Linux and Windows systems in a medium-sized company. There I perform all kinds of tasks. From hardware ordering and maintenance, over the maintenance of licenses to the development of scripts and tools to automate processes or the maintenance of the inventory.
In my spare time I try to put some time into the development of my main project easywall.
Easywall is a management tool for the IPTables Firewall with a web interface.
A well-known one once said: easywall is the tool that beginners need but cannot develop in Linux and what experienced administrators can develop but do not need anymore.

Why is their sponsorship important? How will you use the funds?

Sponsoring is not a must for me. If someone appreciates my work and wants to support me, I would be very happy. Of course I will take the ideas of the donor into consideration for further developments and a donation is a special motivation boost for me.
