Hi, I'm Alessandro

I spend my free time trying to contribute back to the Python community what it gave me, especially in the Web environment. As I know real people and companies are using the projects I maintain for their own work, on the projects I maintain, I try to do my best to focus on backward compatibility while balancing it with new features and embracing modern technologies.

Projects I maintain

  • TurboGears2 Web Framework
  • Beaker Session and Caching Framework for the Web
  • DukPy Javascript interpreter for Python and Ecmascript transpiler
  • DEPOT File Storage (attachments) framework for Web Applications
  • Kajiki Template Engine
  • Ming MongoDB Object Document Mapper
  • BackLash WSGI Debugger and Crash Reporter
  • Gearbox Project Scaffolding and Toolkit for Web Applications

How Sponsorship Helps

I spoke to more than 30+ Python conferences around the world to spread knowledge about the projects I maintain and tell how I apply them in my work and on major projects. Sponsorship helps covering development of OpenSource Projects, expenses during trips to spread knowledge about those projects and sponsorships to other opensource projects.
