Nice to meet you, I'm Tim.
I'm an enthusiastic fan of open source software. I've contributed to several open source projects, but most of my time has been spent writing, maintaining, and supporting yadm.
I spend my train commutes working on yadm. This involves developing new features, fixing bugs, supporting users, researching technology, developing tests, reviewing pull requests, writing documentation, and so on.
I see this work as a way to give back to the open source community, from whom I have benefited so much. I also do this in my free time because I enjoy it.
I don't view GitHub Sponsors as a way to monetize my open source work. Instead I view it as a way for people who have enjoyed my work to say "thanks". Of course, there are many ways of saying "thanks", and I appreciate all of those other ways just as much.
