The software is a comprehensive 2D raster/vector graphics editor for artists, designers, and photographers with a unique node-based, fully non-destructive workflow. Made for hobbyists and professionals alike, Graphite is designed to flexibly do it all in one package: graphic design, vector illustration, photo editing, digital painting, desktop publishing, animation, VFX compositing, generative art, procedural texturing, data visualization, and more. All while staying open source and community-driven.

Development has progressed at remarkable speed with a small team. But the highly ambitious vision for Graphite requires an even faster pace as the project scope grows.   • How are the funds used?
    Hosting and infrastructure, swag for contributors, conferences, and legal costs. Graphite's founder, Keavon, has been footing the bill for these expenses out-of-pocket, while also working on Graphite full-time without salary— which isn't sustainable long-term. Your support goes towards offsetting that burden and keeping the project alive. Our goal is to hire full-time developers in the near future, although revenue will need to grow considerably before that's possible.
