I have been a PHP developer for over 20 years now. For half that time I was one of the lead developers of the Drupal project, and led its conversion from a legacy procedural system to a modern object-oriented platform.

Since 2020 I have also helped out with the PHP Documentation team, and authored a few RFCs. Most notably, I collaborated with Ilija Tovilo on the Enumerations RFC for PHP 8.1.

I am a frequent speaker at conferences around the world (both in person and virtual thanks to the pandemic), and author of multiple books on PHP, most notably Thinking Functionally in PHP. Yes, functional programming is a thing in PHP!

My community time is mostly unpaid on my own time, so any sponsorships encourage me to keep doing that rather than playing video games.

I in particular want to get deeper into PHP Internals, as there's a number of additional RFCs I want to try and pull off.
