As you might have heard, AppCenter is going Flatpak! For elementary OS 6, we will not longer be accepting Debian packaging, so your app will need to be updated.

We have documentation on our developer guide for writing your Flatpak manifest here: https://docs.elementary.io/develop/writing-apps/our-first-app/packaging#flatpak-manifest

Also, in case you missed it, elementary OS 6 beta 2 is now available. This is a great time to get your app packaged up as Flatpak and test that everything is working before the final release. AppCenter submission for OS 6 will be open soon, so don't delay :)

as an addition, the program does not run on Odin if it was downloaded manually and installed, it gives error GLib-GIO-ERROR **: 14:25:13.865: Settings schema 'io.elementary.files.preferences' does not contain a key named 'single-click' Trace/breakpoint trap

Will DesktopFolder be integrated in the System settigns App. for good reason in Odin 6? & it woud be great, because it is nessesarry to use out of box!!!

I personally don't find desktop icons necessary, but this app should definitely be included in the elementary OS 6 AppCenter.

I have always found Desktop Folder very useful at providing visual structure to the software on my system. It would be useful to have it available as a flatpak for odin or better yet as suggested, integrated into the system settings app. Any takers?
