I am trying to use the fallback image as described in the docs, but it is not displaying when I do not have an image for a particular model. I am wondering if i am misunderstanding something or not having it set up correctly?

so the docs say "If your media collection does not contain any items, calling getFirstMediaUrl or getFirstMediaPath will return null."
does this mean if there is at least one item in a collection (group of images regardless of model) that the fallback wont display?
all i'm getting with the filament implementation and elsewhere on my site is an empty image:
instead of the expected placeholder as shown here:
Also, how would i set it up so that each collection is stored in a designated folder.
IE
media>hobby_img>##
media >user_img> ##
etc
What do i have wrong?
Thanks
